TourmalineSource.com was born in October 2006. Our company is run by Colorado School of Mine graduate ('97) and Geological Engineer, Christy Callens of Riverside, California. Christy has a passion for geology, minerals, gemstones, and lapidary arts. She loves to provide unique and beautiful stones to jewelry artists, mineral collectors, healers, and mineral resellers!
We offer Brazilian minerals from the mines of Intinga Township, Minas Gerais Brazil. Our minerals are obtained directly from several mine locations including Urubu Mine (now temporarily closed but we have high quality facet grade material available and fantastic commercial grade tourmaline with quartz and albite core replacement for your customers delight) which produces classic Brazilian Green Tourmaline, Petalite, Tantalite, Lepidolite, ect..; Agua Sante Mine which is a Feldspar producing mine which will occassionaly open up into Aquamarine and Ellestial Quartz crystal pockets; Amazingly etched Aquamarine crystals from the Medina Mine; Yellow Mucsovite and Quartz specimens from the Morundo Mine, rare crystallized Rose Quartz from the Island Mine and many more unique locations.
We have experience in contract field geology services as well as mine planning consultations. We specialize in, but are not limited to, non-metallic mineral deposits (which includes pegmatites) and State of California and Federal Mining and Reclamation Regulations.
